The Fraser Valley Social Purchasing Portal is a partnership of
Mennonite
Central Committee Employment & Community Development Office,
the South Fraser
Community Futures and Coast
Capital Savings. The partnership represents a merger of private
sector socially responsible business expertise with a coalition
of organizations committed to community-based economic development.
About The MCC Employment and Community Development Office
Employment & Community Development MCC-BC was established
in 1990. Its purpose is to enable people and communities toward
economic self-reliance by empowering them to discover their gifts,
develop their abilities, and mobilize resources to find sustainable
work. At MCC BC Employment and Community Development (ECD) and
within the context of a changing world, we enable people to find
their way in the world of work.
A Social Purchasing Portal is a strategy that
brings together leaders in business, local government and community
development to ensure the continued health of the community.
